Job descriptionAstute’s Nuclear Team is partnering with a long-standing industry leader to recruit an experienced Electrical Engineer at their Brighouse site. This role is essential to the company and offers a competitive salary of up to £56,000, along with a matched company pension scheme of up to 4%. There will also be opportunities for international work if you are interested. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for diagnosing PLC software issues in existing machinery across various locations in the UK, working collaboratively in a team environment. You will assist in quoting parts required for repairs and instruct service engineers nationwide on necessary repairs. Your insights will also help in securing new business opportunities. We are seeking candidates with experience in Manual and CNC Milling Machinery, strong fault diagnosis skills for electrical and machine PLC software issues, and knowledge in using Heidenhain, Siemens, and Fanuc PLC systems. A good understanding of hydraulic and electrical schematics is essential, as is an NVQ or higher qualification in Engineering. A full UK driving license is required. The ideal candidate will be personable and organized, capable of working both independently and as part of a team, and eager to progress in their career. The role may require some travel abroad.
