Issues Management & Strategic Coordination• Identify, assess, and prioritize emerging and sensitive issues.• Collaborate with senior staff to develop issue responses aligned with legislative direction and ministry goals.• Coordinate action requests (ARs), briefing notes, presentations, and executive correspondence, ensuring quality and timeliness.• Research and verify facts for ministerial and executive briefings.• Track and ensure completion of key deliverables, FOIP responses, and correspondence.2. Corporate Planning & Reporting• Contribute to ministry documents such as annual reports, business plans, environmental scans, and enterprise risk assessments.• Track and coordinate branch-level milestones and critical decision points.• Support the preparation and submission of the branch’s annual report and related corporate deliverables.• Maintain awareness of current issues, programs, and policies relevant to the ministry.3. Administrative, Financial & Contract Coordination• Maintain tracking systems for branch operations including HR, finance, and action requests.• Coordinate contracts and payments (CMAS), monitor travel/training expenditures, and support HR documentation and updates.• Support logistical planning for conventions and events, including accommodations, signage, AV, and transportation.• Ensure compliance with trade agreements and procurement processes.4. Corporate Ministry Support• Coordinate responses to Alberta Municipalities and Rural Municipalities of Alberta.• Support the preparation of transition materials for incoming Ministers or Deputy Ministers.• Ensure timely and well-informed decisions by senior leadership regarding legislation or key milestones.5.
