As a Design Quality Engineer at Philips, you will play a vital role in ensuring new medical devices meet strict quality and regulatory standards from design through production. Core responsibilities include:
- Developing and executing validation strategies to support smooth product design transfer.
- Managing the full design control process, from gathering inputs to verification, validation, and release.
- Preparing and maintaining accurate quality engineering documentation, including quality plans for hardware, software, and systems.
- Assessing design requirements such as usability, safety, reliability, and manufacturability to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Leading comprehensive risk management throughout the product lifecycle to identify, evaluate, and mitigate potential issues.
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Science, or equivalent.
- Experience:
- Minimum 2+ years in design quality management within the medical device sector.
- Preferred 5+ years with expertise in test validation, design controls, usability, risk management, reliability, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong background in quality systems, audits, CAPA processes, and regulatory standards.
- Ability to meet physical and cognitive requirements of an office-based engineering role.
- Must reside in or within commuting distance of Colorado Springs, CO.
- U.S. work authorization required (no visa sponsorship available).
