Key Duties

Odyssey Adult Day Center is seeking a dedicated Driver/Caregiver to provide safe transportation and compassionate care for adult clients. This dual-role position combines driving responsibilities with hands-on client support to ensure a secure, engaging, and respectful environment.

As a Driver:

• Safely transport clients to and from the facility, medical appointments, and outings.
• Assist clients entering and exiting vehicles.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain cleanliness and fuel levels.
• Report incidents, traffic violations, or vehicle issues promptly.
• Deliver food, supplies, and other essential materials as needed.

As a Caregiver:

• Support clients with personal care, including hygiene, grooming, and toileting.
• Assist with meals and ensure dietary requirements are met.
• Engage clients in recreational and social activities.
• Monitor and report changes in health, behavior, or mood.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment.
• Document care activities, including medication administration and daily updates.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of driving experience; caregiving experience preferred.
• CDL Class B with Passenger Endorsement (required).
• Clean driving record and ability to pass background and drug screening.
• Compassionate, patient, and dependable with strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while following care plans.
• Flexibility to assist with additional facility tasks as needed.
