A.B. Bistro is excited to be hiring an experienced Cook to join our downtown location’s amazing team!

792 Dundas Street West – Toronto (Trinity-Bellwoods, near Bathhurst)

We are seeking an individual who is available to work the following dinner service shifts:
• Wednesday 3:00pm – 9:30pm *availability optional
• Thursday 3:00pm – 11:00pm *availability required
• Friday 3:00pm – 11:00pm *availability required
• Saturday 3:00pm – 11:00pm *availability required
• Sunday 3:00pm – 9:30pm *availability required

We’re on the lookout for creative, experienced Cooks who are self-starters, and have a desire to contribute to Almond Butterfly Bistro’s evolution and success. Is this you? Then we want to hear from you!

As a valuable member of our team, the Cook’s main role is to Prep, Cook, and plate beautiful dishes for our valued guests.

Your duties include:

– organizing, preparing, and line cooking quality ingredients in a high-paced environment;
– inspecting all dishes for presentation, portioning, and order accuracy;
– maintaining inventory levels, and a high level of organization and cleanliness throughout the kitchen;
– storing ingredients properly, with correct rotation;
– communicating with management, with regards to specials, inventory levels, and any immediate needs for the kitchen, as applicable;
– opening or closing the Kitchen for the day;

Requirements:

✔ You have 3+ years Cook / Line Cook experience in a full-service restaurant;
✔ You have excellent verbal and written communication skills;
✔ You bring a passion for cooking, and take pride in results;
✔ You rise to challenges, and are solutions-oriented;
✔ You thrive in FAST-PACED environments, while maintaining a positive attitude;
✔ You are a mature, seasoned professional who works well with owners, managers, and teammates;
✔ You are seeking long-term, permanent employment (1+ yrs);
