Key Duties

Holiday Inn & Suites Conference Center Houston-Willowbrook is seeking skilled and reliable cooks to join our kitchen team, handling breakfast and dinner service. The Cook is responsible for preparing high-quality meals, ensuring proper food safety and sanitation, and assisting with overall kitchen operations.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Preparing and cooking a variety of menu items following established recipes and customer requests.
• Ensuring all ingredients and finished dishes are fresh, safe, and visually appealing.
• Using cooking techniques such as baking, grilling, steaming, and boiling to produce meats, poultry, fish, vegetables, and other foods.
• Coordinating with wait staff and kitchen team to ensure timely and accurate order delivery.
• Maintaining cleanliness and safety of workstations, utensils, and equipment throughout shifts.
• Handling and storing ingredients properly to maintain quality and comply with health standards.
• Garnishing and presenting meals attractively to enhance customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Experience cooking breakfast and dinner items in a professional kitchen environment.
• Ability to follow recipes accurately while adjusting to customer specifications.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekdays, weekends, day, and night shifts.
• Team-oriented with good communication skills and attention to detail.
