Job descriptionJob Title – Commissioning Engineer
Location – Liverpool

My Client who are going through a significant growth period are looking for an experienced BMS Commissioning Engineer to join their team based out of the Liverpool office working on projects across the North West of England. The role will involve working on a variety of projects, ensuring that BEMS installations are commissioned effectively, meeting project requirements and client expectations. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in optimising building energy performance, enhancing operational efficiency, and achieving sustainability goals.
Responsibilities will include but will not be limited to;
• Lead the commissioning process for project installations
• Coordinate with the project manager and project stakeholders to ensure a smooth-running project and integration with other building systems to ensure seamless operation
• Collaborate with project managers and other engineers to develop commissioning plans and ensure that commissioning activities are completed in line with these timelines
• Conduct functional testing of BEMS components and subsystems to verify proper operation and adherence to design specifications
• Identify and resolve technical issues during the commissioning phase. Perform diagnostic tests and troubleshooting procedures to address system problems and optimise performance
• Generate comprehensive commissioning reports, documenting test procedures, results, and any deviations from design specifications. Maintain accurate records of commissioning activities and project documentation
• As the on site engineer you will be the first point of contact for the client, you will communicate commissioning progress, address concerns, and provide technical support as needed whilst maintaining customer satisfaction
• Provide training and support to building operators and maintenance personnel on BMS operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting procedures
• Stay up to date with industry developments, emerging technologies, and best practices related to building energy management systems. Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the enhancement of commissioning methodologies and tools
Requirements;
• Good customer facing skills
• Good communication skills
• Strong technical knowledge
• Experience working on Trend, Tridium or Siemens systems
They are currently working on a range of contracts in multiple sectors including Commercial, Education, Retail and Healthcare.
The salary will be based upon experience of the candidate. A company car can be provided or a car allowance if preferred.
