Key Duties

Helmerich & Payne is seeking motivated Colorado Area Floorhands to join our rig teams in Grand Junction, CO. This entry-level, rig-based role involves performing a wide range of hands-on tasks to support drilling operations. Responsibilities include:

• Assisting with rig-up and rig-down procedures.
• Operating general rig equipment and performing basic maintenance and repairs.
• Handling tubulars in the derrick and supporting activities on the rig floor.
• Participating in mud-mixing and other drilling support tasks.
• Following company safety and operational procedures at all times.
• Demonstrating H&P’s core values: Actively C.A.R.E., Service Attitude, Innovative Spirit, and Teamwork.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Pass a post-offer physical examination.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts for 14-28 consecutive days, followed by 14-28 days off.
• Basic English proficiency and computer skills.
• Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions and solve standardized problems.
• Prior drilling experience of at least six months preferred for non-entry-level positions.
• Mechanical experience is a plus for motorman positions.
