Class C Truck Driver

Job Summary of Class C Truck Driver:

The accurate and timely delivery of premium food products to customers is a critical aspect of The Chefs’ Warehouse operations. To excel in this role, individuals must possess excellent organizational skills, a clean driving record, and the ability to manage the physical aspects of loading and unloading shipments.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Class C Truck Driver:
• Ensure that the inventory quantities are consistent with the necessary delivery requirements.
• Abide by specified delivery schedules by utilizing maps or GPS for navigation.
• Transport and sort out items from the warehouse into the distribution car.
• Maintain swift and accurate deliveries to designated destinations.
• Authenticate the arrival of shipments by collecting signatures or completing necessary payments.
• Ensure ongoing communication with the warehouse to stay informed about delivery progress.
• Be diligent in finalizing and submitting delivery paperwork before you finish your shift.
• Keep supervisors informed about any vehicle-related incidents or concerns that may arise.
• Follow all traffic ordinances and safety regulations outlined by the company.

Qualifications and Experience of Class C Truck Driver:
• An individual must have either a high school diploma or a GED.
• An unblemished driving history and a legally obtained driver’s license are essential.
• Satisfying the conditions of a DOT physical examination is a vital obligation.
• Proficiency in driving and parking sizeable automobiles in various situations.
• Experienced in comfortably managing items weighing 25 lbs. or heavier.
• Knowledge in operating hand trucks, pallet jacks, and forklifts will be an added advantage.
• Exceptional proficiency in customer service, time utilization, and organizational abilities.
