HCA Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Charge Entry Specialist to support accurate and efficient billing operations within our practice. The specialist will serve as a key contributor to the revenue cycle by reviewing, entering, and reconciling patient charges.
Primary responsibilities include:

Reviewing incoming charge documents for accuracy and coordinating with front office staff on billing matters.

Entering charges into the practice management system and ensuring all entries align with patient records.

Balancing charge summaries against tickets and resolving discrepancies before finalizing entries.

Extracting information from medical records, operative notes, consults, progress notes, and discharge summaries to ensure completeness.

Identifying potential quality issues with registration, scheduling, or charge documentation and collaborating to resolve them.

Minimum of one year of experience in charge entry, coding, or medical billing.

Familiarity with medical terminology and coding standards is highly preferred.

Knowledge of third-party billing requirements and payment policies is a plus.

Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
