Job Summary:

We are seeking a responsible, reliable, and professional driver who owns a van or bus to transport students, staff, or community members safely and efficiently. The driver will be responsible for providing their own vehicle, maintaining it in safe operating condition, and ensuring all passengers are transported according to scheduled routes and times.

This position requires strict adherence to safety regulations, excellent customer service skills, and compliance with all local, state, and federal laws related to passenger transportation.

Key Responsibilities:
• Safely operate your personally-owned van or bus to transport passengers to and from schools, programs, events, and other destinations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in proper working condition and meets safety standards.
• Maintain all required permits, registrations, and insurance for the vehicle.
• Follow assigned routes and schedules while ensuring on-time arrivals and departures.
• Ensure passenger safety at all times, assisting individuals with mobility needs as required.
• Maintain accurate transportation logs, including mileage, fuel usage, and maintenance records.
• Report any incidents, accidents, or mechanical issues immediately.
• Keep the vehicle clean, well-maintained, and presentable inside and out.
• Comply with all traffic laws, safety protocols, and organizational policies.
• Provide professional and courteous service, representing the organization with integrity.
• Enforce and model safe practices, including seatbelt use and emergency procedures.
Qualifications:
• Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
