Key Duties

Heartland Express is seeking CDL-A Truck Drivers for regional routes throughout Texas and surrounding states. Drivers are expected to:

• Safely operate company-assigned tractors (Kenworth, Freightliner, International) on dry van routes.
• Transport freight using drop-and-hook procedures with minimal handling (no-touch freight).
• Maintain accurate logs, records, and delivery documentation.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and customer contacts.
• Adhere to company safety protocols, including speed limits and truck maintenance schedules.
• Participate in driver appreciation events and provide feedback for operational improvements.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Minimum of 12 months tractor-trailer driving experience.
• At least 21 years old with a strong driving record.
• Commitment to safety-first driving practices.
• Ability to work independently while representing Heartland Express professionally.
