Key Duties

Optix is seeking CDL-A Owner Operators for intermodal hauling opportunities. Drivers will transport intermodal freight efficiently while maintaining safety and professionalism. This role allows operators to:

• Haul freight on local, regional short-haul, or 2-day-out OTR routes from hubs in Houston, TX; Savannah, GA; and Charleston, SC.
• Maintain independence with no forced dispatch, allowing flexibility in managing schedules.
• Safely operate and maintain their own tractor-trailer while ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
• Participate in safety incentive programs to reward excellent performance.
• Utilize company-provided resources, including parking assistance and optional plate/tag support.

Requirements

• Valid CDL-A license with 2+ years of recent verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience.
• Minimum 6 months of intermodal hauling experience.
• TWIC card required.
• Clean driving record: no more than 2 moving violations and/or preventable accidents in the past 2 years.
• No felonies, drug convictions, embezzlement, or theft in the last 7 years.
• No sexual or violent offenses in the last 20 years; no alcohol-related offenses in the last 10 years.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining safety and professionalism.
