Key Duties

As a Cashier at JCPenney, you will serve as the first point of contact for customers, delivering exceptional service and supporting sales initiatives. Your responsibilities include:

• Greeting customers and assisting them with purchases, returns, and product inquiries while demonstrating positive and inclusive behavior.
• Managing checkout procedures efficiently, including handling returns, re-ticketing, and using mobile Point of Sale (POS) devices for transactions.
• Supporting store operations such as Omnichannel services, inventory recovery, and merchandising of impulse fixtures.
• Maintaining safety and shrink control standards, contributing to the store’s overall operational goals.
• Actively promoting JCPenney programs such as rewards, gift cards, and Findmore to enhance sales and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Strong customer service orientation with a professional and friendly demeanor.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and handle problem-solving under pressure.
• Basic knowledge of retail operations and familiarity with POS systems is preferred.
• Reliable, punctual, and adaptable to varying schedules including weekends and holidays.
