Job description

Link Community Charter School in Newark is seeking a qualified, licensed part-time school bus driver for immediate hire. The driver will be responsible for short morning and afternoon routes between the school, located on Pennsylvania Avenue, and Newark’s Ironbound section. The school bus is brand new and has a capacity of 54 seats. An aide will accompany the driver to supervise students, ranging from kindergarten through grade 8.

Candidates must possess a valid Commercial Driver’s License (Class B) with a clear and safe driving record, as well as S & P endorsements. Previous driving experience is required. Bilingual candidates (Spanish and/or Portuguese in addition to English) are preferred. The hourly pay ranges from $25 to $35, depending on experience.
