Barista Job Description

Duties:

– Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, such as coffee, tea, and smoothies
– Take customer orders and provide exceptional customer service
– Operate espresso machines, grinders, and other equipment to prepare beverages according to established recipes and quality standards
– Handle cash transactions and operate the cash register accurately
– Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar area
– Stock and replenish supplies as needed
– Follow health and safety guidelines for food handling and preparation
– Assist with food preparation, such as sandwiches, pastries, and snacks
– Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations

Requirements:

– Previous experience in food service or the food industry is preferred but not required
– Basic math skills for cash handling and retail transactions
– Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
– Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and positive attitude
– Strong attention to detail for beverage preparation and presentation
– Ability to work well in a team-oriented setting
– Knowledge of health and safety regulations for food handling
– Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
