For more information about the Ministry, please visit our website at: https://www.alberta.ca/energy-and-minerals.Role ResponsibilitiesAs a key member of the Ministerial Correspondence Unit (MCU), the ARTS Coordinator/Administrator is responsible for coordinating and providing administrative support for the completion of the ministry’s Action Requests (ARs). As the ARTS Coordinator/Administrator, you will work with your MCU colleagues as well as administrative and executive support staff in Assistant Deputy Ministers’ (ADM), Deputy Minister’s (DM), and Minister’s offices, to ensure ARs are completed on time, adhere to the department’s high standards, and follow appropriate formatting.You will also manage the department’s use of the Action Request System (ARTS), by setting, communicating, and following processes and procedures, to ensure a smooth running application and self-sufficient users.As an ARTS Coordinator/Administrator, you will: Monitor, track, and coordinate the timely and efficient processing of Action Requests (ARs) from the Minister’s Office Create and assign ARs on behalf of the Deputy Minister’s Office. Ensure Action Requests are informative and responsive by coordinating input requests with other departments. Run daily Action Request Due Report and weekly DMO Assigned reports for distribution to staff. Review ARTS procedures, assist in the development and delivery of related training, and draft reference documents. Provide backup support as required. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Experience working in ARTS, specifically creating, tracking, assessing Action Requests, and running reports. A thorough understanding of administrative procedures and best practices. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment. Sharp critical thinking skills, and ability to work independently in a time-sensitive environment. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
