As an Emergency Medicine Doctor with the U.S. Air Force, you will provide critical care to Airmen, their families, and base personnel in emergency situations. Your responsibilities include:

Evaluating and managing acute medical cases, including trauma, surgical emergencies, and critical illness.

Delivering timely diagnostics and emergency interventions in high-pressure environments.

Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated patient care and continuity.

Participating in emergency preparedness, drills, and planning to maintain readiness.
-
Leading or contributing to medical research, quality improvement initiatives, and best practice implementation.

Potentially deploying to provide medical support in field or remote operational settings.
This role demands adaptability, decisiveness, and the ability to operate under pressure in both traditional hospital settings and austere environments.
Requirements-
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) from an accredited institution.

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine.

Active, unrestricted medical license.

Ability to obtain military security clearance.

Strong clinical judgment, problem-solving, and emergency management skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively under stressful conditions.

Prior military experience or familiarity with military health systems is preferred but not required.
