• Salary: $15.00 – $17.00 per hour

Key Duties

Champions is seeking passionate and experienced afterschool teachers to join our PreK program at Champions Uplift Whiterock. As an Afterschool Teacher, you will provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children while supporting their academic and social growth.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Guiding children through structured activities and supporting homework or enrichment programs.

• Maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages curiosity and learning.

• Partnering with parents to communicate progress and support child development.

• Assisting with program setup, cleanup, and daily routines to ensure a smooth experience for students.

• Collaborating with fellow staff to foster a supportive and team-oriented environment.

• Supporting health and safety standards consistent with Champions’ WELL Health/Safety rating.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or CDA coursework is a plus.

• Minimum of one year of experience in childcare or early childhood education.

• CPR and First Aid certifications preferred.

• Dedication to nurturing children and promoting their learning and well-being.

• Strong communication skills and willingness to work collaboratively with parents and colleagues.

• Flexible availability during program hours: Monday–Friday 2:30 PM–6:30 PM, and Wednesdays 1:00 PM–6:30 PM.
