Key Duties

Webber International University is seeking an Adjunct Faculty member to teach undergraduate courses in Composition and/or Literature. The instructor will deliver face-to-face classes, manage course materials, and maintain accurate academic records. Key responsibilities include:

• Designing and delivering course content aligned with university standards.

• Conducting scheduled office hours to support student learning and engagement.

• Evaluating student performance through assignments, exams, and participation.

• Maintaining accurate records, including attendance, grades, and course documentation.

• Collaborating with colleagues and participating in departmental initiatives as needed.

This role may expand to full-time based on institutional needs and budget.

Requirements

• Master’s degree (MA/MEd/MS) or PhD in English, Literature, or Rhetoric/Composition from a regionally accredited institution or recognized equivalent.

• Minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in English-related coursework.

• Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to engage students from diverse backgrounds.

• University teaching experience is preferred but not required.

• Ability to develop and implement course materials, assessments, and classroom strategies that promote student success.
