The Role & Responsibilities
The Accounting and Corporate Reporting Advisory Director will provide leadership and strategic direction in corporate reporting, accounting policies, and financial advisory services. The role demands a deep understanding of accounting standards, strong analytical skills, and the ability to build and maintain client relationships at a senior level.
Core Responsibilities
Advisory Leadership

Lead advisory engagements on complex accounting and reporting matters, providing practical, high-quality recommendations to clients.

Guide clients through changes in accounting standards and regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance and optimized reporting processes.

Serve as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, helping them understand the implications of financial reporting decisions.
Corporate Reporting & Compliance

Oversee the preparation, review, and analysis of financial statements in accordance with IFRS, UK GAAP, and other relevant frameworks.

Ensure the adoption of best practices in corporate reporting, risk management, and internal controls.

Monitor regulatory developments and provide strategic guidance to clients on emerging reporting issues.
Client Relationship Management

Build and maintain strong relationships with key client contacts, understanding their business needs and objectives.

Act as the primary point of contact for clients on accounting and reporting issues, offering proactive solutions and insights.

Qualifications & Experience

Education: Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. Professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA are essential.

Experience: Extensive experience in corporate reporting, accounting advisory, and financial compliance within a professional services or advisory environment.

Technical Skills: Advanced knowledge of IFRS, UK GAAP, corporate governance, and regulatory reporting frameworks.

Analytical Skills: Strong ability to interpret complex accounting issues and develop practical, value-adding solutions.

Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, capable of presenting complex information to clients and stakeholders clearly and confidently.
