Job description

Internal Audit (Academic Quality)

Location: London, UK

Work From Office

Full Time

Position Overview:

We are seeking an expert in UK Academic Quality to join the Internal Audit Department and assist in global internal audits. The position would report directly to Head of Group – Internal Audit. The suitable candidate will have substantial experience in UK Academic quality. This is a full-time role & would involve work from office.

Key Role & Responsibilities:

Should have experience related to UK Academic Quality & not necessarily internal audit in general. Experience in Internal audit also is preferred, but not mandatory.
• Would be required to understand UK Academic Quality standards completely
• Would evaluate & assess whether GBS UK is meeting all Academic Quality standards
• Would be involved in internal audits of GBS UK Academics
• Would be responsible for reviewing the quality of academics, and end-to-end processes of academics dept.
• Would highlight gaps and problems identified and discuss with the UK Academics dept.
• Would give suggestions for improvement and recommendations and discuss with the UK Academics dept.
• Would assist in drafting audit reports.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement audit recommendations and enhance processes.
• Would report directly to Head of Group – Internal Audit, in India (Noida)
• To assist in other areas of Internal Audit of UK entities, as & when required. Support the audit team in planning, executing, and concluding audit engagements.
• Should be OK with travelling if required occasionally to other countries (especially to India as rest of the team is in India)
• Stay updated on regulatory requirements of education industry & the higher education industry and industry best practices
• Would also do global audits of the Academic dept in other locations & entities of the GEDU Global group (which is in 12+ countries & expanding), and ensure:
• High Academic standards are being maintained at par with UK standards
• Highlight gaps & suggest process improvements, if required
• Should be able to work independently with minimum supervision
• Should have excellent communication skills as would involve interacting with people in 12+ countries

Qualifications:
• Substantial experience in UK Academic Quality.
• Any candidate with suitable degree & appropriate experience would be considered
• Should be able to work independently with minimum supervision
