Key Duties
Colorado Mountain College (CMC) is seeking an Academic Coordinator to support and manage campus academic programs, ensuring high-quality credit and non-credit instruction. Reporting to the Assistant Dean of Instruction, the coordinator will oversee adjunct faculty selection, assist in course scheduling, and provide support for faculty credentialing and educational technology.
The Academic Coordinator will:
- Coordinate and manage credit and non-credit courses, including scheduling and adjunct faculty assignments.
- Collaborate with marketing for course promotion and bulletin creation.
- Oversee program budgets, including First Year Experience and other campus initiatives.
- Support faculty with Canvas and other learning management tools, technical needs, and instructional materials.
- Assist in faculty credentialing processes and ensure compliance with institutional requirements.
- Lead or co-lead campus programs, committees, and special events supporting student learning and engagement.
- Provide assessment support, training for adjunct faculty, and guidance on course syllabus preparation.
- Serve as a liaison for CEPA programming when required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with two years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Familiarity with program coordination, community education, or higher education operations.
- Proficiency with educational technology and strong recordkeeping skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with faculty, staff, and students.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) or conversational language skills preferred.
