The Role & Responsibilities
As an Accounts Manager, you will oversee client accounts, manage financial reporting, and provide strategic guidance to clients and internal teams. This role requires a balance of technical accounting knowledge, leadership, and client management skills.
Core Responsibilities
Client Account Management

Oversee multiple client accounts, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing advice on financial performance and compliance.
Financial Reporting and Analysis

Prepare management accounts, budgets, and forecasts for clients and internal stakeholders.

Analyse financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, delivering actionable insights to clients.
Compliance and Audit Support

Ensure all accounts comply with regulatory standards and accounting principles.

Support internal and external audits by providing comprehensive records and explanations.
Team Leadership and Mentorship

Supervise and support junior accountants, delegating tasks and providing guidance on accounting processes.

Contribute to the professional development of team members through mentoring and training initiatives.
Process Improvement

Identify opportunities to streamline accounting procedures, improve efficiency, and enhance client satisfaction.

Assist in implementing new accounting systems or practices to meet evolving business needs.
Qualifications & Experience

ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified, or equivalent accounting certification.

Proven experience managing client accounts and delivering accounting services in a professional environment.

Strong knowledge of accounting standards, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.

Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office suite.

Excellent communication, analytical, and organisational skills.

Ability to work under pressure, manage deadlines, and prioritise multiple tasks effectively.
