The Role & Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities

Financial Reporting

• Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts, highlighting key variances and trends for management review.

• Provide clear and actionable financial reports to support operational and strategic decision-making.

Budgeting & Forecasting

• Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts, ensuring alignment with company objectives.

• Monitor expenditure and project costs, providing timely financial insight to operational managers.

Cost Control & Analysis

• Analyse cost structures across operations, identifying areas for efficiency improvements.

• Support project managers in managing budgets and controlling costs effectively.

Compliance & Governance

• Ensure adherence to accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

• Assist with audits and internal control reviews to maintain compliance and transparency.

Process Improvement

• Contribute to the development and implementation of financial processes and controls.

• Recommend and implement improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in reporting.

Qualifications & Experience

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent, or part-qualified with relevant experience.

• Proven experience in management accounting, financial reporting, and budgeting.

• Familiarity with accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.

• Experience in a commercial or industrial environment is advantageous.
