The Role & Responsibilities
As a Management Accountant, you will be responsible for providing accurate financial information to support both day-to-day operational decisions and long-term strategic planning. Your insights will help drive efficiency, maintain compliance, and contribute to the company’s continued growth.
Core Responsibilities
Financial Reporting

Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts, highlighting key variances and trends for management review.

Provide clear and actionable financial reports to support operational and strategic decision-making.
Budgeting & Forecasting

Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts, ensuring alignment with company objectives.

Monitor expenditure and project costs, providing timely financial insight to operational managers.
Cost Control & Analysis

Analyse cost structures across operations, identifying areas for efficiency improvements.

Support project managers in managing budgets and controlling costs effectively.
Compliance & Governance

Ensure adherence to accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Assist with audits and internal control reviews to maintain compliance and transparency.
Process Improvement

Contribute to the development and implementation of financial processes and controls.

Recommend and implement improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in reporting.
Qualifications & Experience
-
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent, or part-qualified with relevant experience.

Proven experience in management accounting, financial reporting, and budgeting.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.

Familiarity with accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.

Experience in a commercial or industrial environment is advantageous.
