Harmonic Finance™ is recruiting for an ambitious Management Accountant to join a creative media scale-up in London on a 6-month fixed-term contract. The Role & Responsibilities
The Management Accountant will be responsible for supporting the finance function during a period of growth and transformation. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will provide accurate reporting, manage month-end processes, and ensure financial data drives decision-making.
Core Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Analysis

Prepare monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Deliver insightful financial analysis to support strategic and operational decision-making.
Month-End & Reconciliation
-
Lead on month-end close, including journal postings, accruals, and prepayments.

Reconcile balance sheet accounts to ensure integrity of financial data.
Budgeting & Forecasting

Assist in the preparation of budgets and reforecasts, working closely with department heads.

Track performance against budgets and highlight variances with recommendations.
Business Partnering

Collaborate with non-finance teams to provide clear financial insight.

Support project managers and creatives with cost tracking and profitability analysis.
Compliance & Process Improvement

Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and internal controls.

Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency within the finance function.
Qualifications & Experience
The successful candidate will be a proactive finance professional with strong technical skills and a commercial mindset.

Education: Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related subject.

Professional Qualification: Part-qualified or newly qualified ACCA, ACA, or CIMA.

Experience: At least 3 years’ experience in management accounting, ideally in a creative, media, or scale-up environment.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (Xero preferred) and strong Excel skills.

Analytical Skills: Ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.

Soft Skills: Strong communication, adaptability, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
