The Role & Responsibilities
The Accountant (Newly Qualified) will join the finance team to support the delivery of accurate and timely reporting, compliance, and business insights. Core Responsibilities
Financial Reporting

Support the annual budget process and produce rolling forecasts. Provide detailed variance analysis to highlight areas for efficiency and improvement.
Regulatory Compliance
Ensure adherence to FCA and other regulatory requirements applicable to asset management. Support the preparation of statutory filings and coordinate with external auditors.
Business Partnering
Collaborate with investment and operational teams to provide financial insights that support decision-making. Translate financial data into meaningful analysis for non-finance colleagues.
Process Improvement
Contribute to ongoing improvements in financial systems, reporting processes, and internal controls. Recommend automation and best practices where possible.
Qualifications & Experience

Professional Qualification
ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified within the last 1–2 years. Big Four or Top 10 audit firm background with asset management or financial services clients is highly desirable. -
Technical Skills
Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP. Previous exposure to fund accounting, consolidations, or financial instruments will be an advantage. -
Analytical Ability
Excellent attention to detail with the ability to analyse complex financial data and provide actionable insights. -
Technology Proficiency
Confident in Excel, with experience in financial modelling. Familiarity with accounting systems such as Oracle, SAP, or Sun will be beneficial. -
