Internal Audit Executive

We’re a leading recruitment company in Sri Lanka looking for an Internal Audit Executive for a leading diversified agribusiness company based in Galle.

Key Responsibilities
• Assist the Internal Audit team in developing and implementing the company’s internal audit plan.
• Review internal control processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
• Complete assigned tasks within the defined Internal Audit Plan, including conducting field visits.
• Report findings to the Board Audit Committee (BAC) and Board Risk & Compliance Committee (BRCC) as per agreed timelines.
• Monitor and follow up on previously reported observations and recommendations.
• Assist in developing and executing audit plans, and review internal controls to ensure their efficiency.
• Complete work areas outlined in the Internal Audit Plan and ensure field visits are conducted within the agreed timeframe.
• Provide timely assistance in preparing reports for the Board Audit Committee (BAC) and Board Risk & Compliance Committee (BRCC).
• Follow-up on previously reported audit findings and monitor progress on corrective actions.

Qualifications
• Part qualifications in CA/CIMA/ACCA or completion of professional exams.
• A degree in Management, Finance, Accounting, or a related field from a recognized university.
• A minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience in a reputable audit firm (experience in the plantation sector will be an added advantage).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages.
• Strong conceptual and analytical skills.
